It depends. Many insurance companies cover psychotherapy services by a Registered Psychotherapist (RP). Please check with your insurance company to confirm. Currently, ACTion Psychotherapy does not bill insurance companies directly, which means that you are responsible for payment. You may be reimbursed by your insurance company after submitting your receipt with your claim. Please note that psychotherapy may also be a medical expense for tax purposes.
ACTion Psychotherapy adheres to a 24-hour cancellation policy for cancelled or rescheduled appointments. The full session rate will be applied to any appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours to the scheduled session time. Please contact your therapist to discuss cases of medical emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, as they may be evaluated on an individual basis.
To best develop your treatment plan, your first session will include a brief assessment that allows us to get to know your unique needs and situation. Based on your therapy goals and presenting concerns, your therapist will give you specific recommendations on the frequency and number of sessions. Of course, we are flexible to any barriers you may have in regards to the recommendations and we will ensure that you are comfortable with your treatment plan.
Psychotherapy can help people facing many different concerns related to mental health. It can help process unresolved trauma and grief from painful experiences. It can help develop strategies to pull us out of deep depression. It can help us let go of struggling with our most difficult emotions. It can help you know your next step when feeling lost. We look forward to finding out how psychotherapy can help you in your unique situation.
